Compiler.  The Keil MDK-ARM uses the highly optimizing ARM RealView C/C compiler. It is extremely important to have sound basis for your code generation. No one knows code generation for the ARM architecture better than ARM.

Debugger. The µVision editor and debugger are integrated in a single application that provides a seamless embedded project development environment. The debugger offers a number of different views into the code and data that comprise your target application: Source Code Windows display your high-level language and assembly program source code. Disassembly Window shows mixed high-level language and assembly code. Registers Tab shows system registers. Symbol Window hierarchy displays program symbols in your application. Output Window displays the output of various debugger commands. Memory Window displays up to four regions of code or data memory. Watch Window displays local variables, user-defined watch expression lists, and the call stack.

Simulator. The μVision Debugger simulates a complete ARM-powered microcontroller including the instruction set and on-chip peripherals. Allows breakpoints that are not possible with hardware debuggers. Lets us use optimal input signals without the extra noise you get from HW debuggers Signal functions can be easily programmed

RTXC-aware debugging Kernel awareness gives the developer deep visibility into virtually every aspect of kernel activity during debugging. The popup windows allow you to view RTXC Quadros-specific objects in an easy-to-read fashion within the Keil IDE. The kernel-aware plug-in is included as part of a standard license for a combined purchase of Keil MDK-ARM and the RTXC Quadros RTOS. Ask your sales representative for more information.

ULINKpro The ULINKpro Debug and Trace Unit, together with MDK-ARM, supports all Cortex-M devices with extended, on-the-fly debug capabilities. Control the processor, set breakpoints, and read/write memory contents, all while the processor is running at full speed. High-Speed data and instruction trace are streamed directly to the PC enabling you to analyze real-time program behavior for almost unlimited periods of time.
