BACnet
Overview
| BACnet (Building Automation and Control network) is an object-oriented
protocol for communicating between various devices and equipment. This
open standard is defined in ANSI/ASHRAE 135-2008. Some also refer to it
as the Automation and Controls Network. |
|
Originally developed for the management of HVAC systems, BACnet usage has expanded to include fire and life safety, access control, emergency power, lighting, energy management, and other building systems. It supports data sharing, scheduling, trending, alarm and event management and device management. Quadros Systems has successfully integrated and deployed the BACnet protocol with the RTXC Quadnet TCP/IP stack in customer systems built on the RTXC RTOS platform. We work with customers to assess their requirements and then create an implementation that meets their specific situation. |
