Quadros Systems and Intelligraphics Partner to Offer
Extended Driver Development Capabilities
RTXC customers gain access to driver development services
for 802.11, WiMax, Bluetooth, USB, Compact PCI and more
ESC: #924
Embedded Systems Conference, Boston, MA - September 12, 2005 -
Quadros Systems, Inc., a leading supplier of configurable and scaleable
real-time operating systems (RTOS), and Intelligraphics, Inc., a leader
in driver and low-level software development services, today announced
a partnership to provide RTXC customers with driver development services
for a wide range of popular communications interfaces.
Today's embedded systems are no longer localized control systems. They
are complex and internetworked, often integrating multiple communications
standards for both wired and wireless implementations. This partnership
extends Quadros Systems' ability to support the rapidly growing number
of communications controllers and I/O standards. Together,
Intelligraphics and Quadros systems can deliver a higher level of
expertise and integration, enabling developers of RTXC operating systems
to respond to unique system connectivity requirements in markets such as
industrial control and factory automation, consumer electronics,
networking, and more.
"Intelligraphics extends our ability to provide our customers with the
support they need for today's complex, interconnected systems," noted
Tom Barrett, CEO of Quadros Systems. "Intelligraphics has specialized in
driver development for many years. This partnership opens RTXC
developers to a wealth of additional resources."
"The RTXC operating system is highly regarded for its efficiency and
adaptability," stated Scott Lawson, president of Intelligraphics. "By
combining our strengths in device driver development, RTXC developers
will be able to extend that same level of adaptability into their overall
system solution. Much of the time-consuming integration will be removed
from the development process, saving development cost and speeding time
to market."
With increased connectivity, each market sector has developed and
adapted various connectivity standards that best suit their industry
needs. This has created a burgeoning in connectivity protocols, each
standard entailing many unique specifications. With the trend for processor
vendors to integrate connectivity accelerators, it is even more critical
that the RTOS be able to take support these interfaces.
Intelligraphics has extensive experience in developing drivers for
Bluetooth, 802.11b/g/n, WiMax (802.16), Zigbee, USB, CompactPCI, OPC,
ModBus, ModBus over Ethernet and TCP/IP, Fieldbus, Profibus, Interbus,
DeviceNet, and AS-Interface.
About Intelligraphics, Inc
Intelligraphics, Inc. provides professional device driver, firmware,
and board support package development services to hardware manufacturers
and software development companies throughout the world including chip,
add-in board and system manufacturers as well as operating system vendors
and application developers. Based in Richardson, Texas, the company has
become an internationally recognized leader in low level software
development. Intelligraphics has developed particular expertise in
driver and system level software development, performance analysis and
enhancement, software testing and other services.
About the RTXC Quadros Family of Real-time Operating Systems
The RTXC Quadros RTOS family features four highly scalable real-time
operating systems, offering distinct performance advantages for each of
the major processing models. RTXC/ss (single stack) utilizes a lightweight
specialized executive to support high data rate and signal processing
applications. RTXC/ms (multi-stack) is optimized for control processing
using an event-driven, prioritized, preemptive scheduler. RTXC/dm (dual
mode) marries RTXC/ms and RTXC/ss and is ideal for convergent processing
applications which combine DSP/dataflow and RISC/control processing in a
single-core architecture. Both RTXC/ms and RTXC/dm are brought together
under RTXC/mp (multiprocessing) in various combinations to support
multicore and multiprocessor implementations.
About Quadros, Systems, Inc.
Quadros Systems, Inc. develops and markets RTXC technology, bringing
together RTOS, hardware and software professionals into one development
team to provide innovative technology that maximizes real-time
responsiveness and eases the development process for customers. In
addition to the RTXC RTOS family, Quadros Systems offers a wide range of
communications stacks and middleware including RTXC Quadnet (a suite of
integrated communications protocols) and RTXCflashfile (a high
performance file system for resident flash devices). RTXC products have
been deployed worldwide in thousands of embedded systems, serving
markets such as communications, medical, and industrial automation. For
