Embedded Software Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team in the role of Embedded Software Engineer at our Houston, Texas headquarters. The responsibilities within this role will be extremely diverse and will have a major impact on the engineering team.

Product Engineering Responsibilities include:

• Developing fundamental portions of RTOS peripheral components
• Porting RTOS components to new hardware platforms (or revisions) and tools
• Designing and estimating engineering effort required for system integration activities
• Validation of intended results against engineering requirements (both internal and external)
• Documenting technical issues, resolutions, designs, and resultant implementation

Customer-facing Responsibilities include:

• Working with sales to build integrated demonstrations for key opportunities
• Reproducing, troubleshooting, debugging, and communicating resolutions for customer issues
• Communicating technical implications of core technology integration in diverse environments

Successful candidates will utilize creating thinking while taking the initiative to handle daily dynamics. This requires strong organization skills, problem solving ability, clear communication, and solid follow-through.

Qualified Candidates Will Have:

• Embedded systems setup, configuration, development, and deployment experience
• Designed and implemented solutions involving device-to-device data transfer
• Successfully led time-sensitive projects and/or been independently accountable for deliverables
• Direct experience with applications integration

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4 years of related professional experience
• Architectural knowledge of ARM, PowerPC, ColdFire, or Blackfin processors
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, USB, and/or serial/parallel communications
• Experience building drivers or interfacing directly with hardware
• Willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally
• Fluency, both written and spoken, in the English language is required
• US citizenship
